The Position:
The Human Resources Coordinator role will be responsible for facilitating HR functions and programs, including administrative tasks, internal customer service and employee-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Employment Authorization process; including processing I-9’s and E-Verify in a timely manner.
- Inputs, maintains, audits, extracts, manipulates, and analyses confidential employee information.
- Assists with in person New Employee Orientation to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
- Works with new hires in the pre-boarding and onboarding processes
- Tracks completion of onboarding tasks, communicates with employee and supervisor.
- Runs periodic HR audit reports and conducts HR audits.
- Handles employment-related inquires from employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR contact.
- Reinforce policies, rules, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and college guidelines.
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
- Support the HR team where needed.
Position Requirements:
The HR Coordinator will possess the following:
- 2 years of entry-level human resources experience
- Experience managing the Employment Authorization process (I-9’s and E-Verify)
- Understanding of general human resources policies
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional Organizational Skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, stressful environment.
The ideal candidate for this role will be highly motivated and have an affinity for providing exceptional customer-service, and comfortably serve as a champion of the college’s culture and values.
Position Preferences/Ideal Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a HR coordinator role
- Experience managing the Employment Authorization process (I-9’s and E-Verify)
- Advanced knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Ability to interpret and apply guidelines correctly in various situations in a courteous manner.
- Excellent Time Management skills
- Highly collaborative and team oriented.
- Working knowledge of Workday

Education:
Must have advanced level knowledge, skills and abilities attained through -
- Associates degree in a related field
- or technical/industry certification in HR with substantial related experience.
- Alternatively, additional years of experience (3-5) will be considered in lieu of an associate degree.

Starting Salary Range: $18 - $20/per hour
