Job Description
A Tractor Trailer Diesel Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and trailers. This includes but is not limited to:
- Inspecting and diagnosing problems with diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems
- Performing repairs and replacements of parts as needed
- Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
To be successful as a Tractor Trailer Diesel Mechanic, you will need:
- 1 year of mechanical knowledge experience
- 3 years of verifiable diesel/truck repair experience
- 3 years of verifiable trailer repair experience
- welding and cutting skills
- a set of own tools and toolbox efficient for job requirements, including air tools and cordless tools
- to pass a pre-employment written skills assessment
- a valid driver's license and medical card
- a CDL license (a plus)
