Pay: $60,000 - $62,000 Annual
Benefits:
New management full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following the first day of full-time employment.
Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.
Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.
All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 60 days of service.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Fixed Asset Club Staff Accountant is responsible and accountable for maintaining accurate property and capital project records related to the golf club and homeowner’s association of the community. This position reports to the Director of Community Services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSGR) to support the achievement of company goals.
- Maintain effective communication with all team members to maintain a smooth, informed, and consistent atmosphere related to office functions.
- Daily interaction with clients, with high degree of service.
- Maintain the accurate accounting of capital reserve funds.
- Responsible for fixed asset balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial data, including month-end financials.
- Process checks and accounts payable as applicable.
- Process AR Payments and Accounts Receivable as applicable.
- Maintain fixed asset schedule, as applicable.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare sales tax returns, as assigned.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- One to three years related accounting experience preferred.
- Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferred.
- Understanding of GAAP guidelines (general accepted accounting principles) as they apply to the position.
- Previous experience with accounting software packages.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to understand financial analysis.
- Must have strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent customer services skills and an ability to respond to the needs and requests of coworkers and clients.
- Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Must demonstrate initiative, with an ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
- This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates in a professional indoor office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
