Harvest, use knives, machinery, and other carving tools to cut, trim and prepare meat for sale. Typically working on an assembly line, following sanitation standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Sever or remove parts of hog.
- Slit open, eviscerate, and trim out carcasses of hogs.
- Saw, split, or scribe hogs to separate carcasses.
- Cut out, trim skin, sort, and wash parts of hog to separate edible portions.
- Ability to push up to 180 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working with raw meat
- Physically demanding manual labor. Repetitive work for 8-10 hours
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Hot work environment
- No experience necessary, will provide on the job training.
