Summary/Objective
The Epicor Engineer I analyzes and transfers customer and engineering information into the production system to
enable manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between sales, engineering, and production
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to develop shop routings
- Prepare critical production documents for job packets
- Process Level 1 jobs and replacement part orders
- Cross trains in other materials departments such as purchasing, inventory, etc.
- Completes other jobs or duties as directed by the Materials Manager
Qualifications
- Education and Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing facility working with blue prints and shop routing documents
(machining, assembly, other production positions) preferred, but not required - High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of
education and experience, preferred but not required
- Previous experience in manufacturing facility working with blue prints and shop routing documents
- Technology
- Windows PC proficiency
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous ERP system experience a plus. Epicor ERP experience preferred
- Knowledge
- Steel Manufacturing Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes,
quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of
goods - Mechanical - Knowledge of relevant machines and tools
- Mathematics - Basic knowledge of arithmetic and geometry, and their applications
