What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Analyst II position at Jackson County Memorial Hospital?
Job Summary: The IT Application Specialist/Analyst is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of the various software applications used within the facility as well as new system implementations. The position has the responsibility of working as a liaison and project manager between administration, IT and the facility departments on various projects that are assigned by hospital administration and IT management. Duties include but are not limited to implementation of new applications, maintenance, report writing and user training on assigned HIS (health information system) modules and applications, including MEDITECH Expanse and other 3rd party applications.
Requirements:
- An Associate’s Degree in a healthcare (RN Licensure preferred) or business related field or equivalent degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. In lieu of a degree, the candidate must possess relevant experience above and beyond the education requirements.
- Two or more years previous acceptable experience working in a healthcare or business related environment and intermediate to advanced level knowledge of how to build and maintain the business applications within a Healthcare Information System required. Meditech HIS preferred.
- Beginning to Intermediate NPR writer skills preferred.
