Expected to work with minimal supervision. Responsible for orderly and efficient functioning to the clerical area of the Orthopedic Clinic. Coordinates work activities by working closely with clinic physicians and staff. Meets with patients and answers any questions or concerns in person and by phone. Acts as a liaison between the clinic and Patient Accounting. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. College degree in business or related field preferred. One to two years acceptable experience in the commercial health care environment, specifically medical office, required. Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required. Experience with Clinic ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred. Must be able to pass the “Clerical Ability Test” with 80% or better as given by the Human Resources Department. Typing speed of 30-40 wpm required.
