What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician 3rd Shift position at Jackson Tube Service, Inc.?
The qualified candidate must be skilled in the following:
- Interprets engineering drawings and confers with staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality system.
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on products to measure performance or material characteristics.
- Prepares or enters data into computer for analysis.
- Prepares and evaluates: weld specimen samples to determine acceptability, specimens for mechanical and macro graphic testing and, calibration of measuring equipment.
