Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bus Driver/Classroom Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all students. Qualifications
Must have a Class B CDL with S & P endorsements, High School diploma or GED, must favorably pass a background check and pre-employment drug test and physical.
Responsibilities
-Drive 2 routes per day plus assist in a preschool classroom between routes.
- Assist teachers in preparing materials, setting up classrooms, and maintaining a clean and organized environment
- Provide individualized support to students, including behavior management and one-on-one instruction
- Support students with special needs, including those with disabilities
- Drive school buses to transport students to and from school
- Assist with classroom routines and activities, such as setting up for meals, recess, or special events
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment
- Monitor students' behavior and report any incidents to the teacher or administration
- Provide emotional support to students, including identifying and addressing emotional needs
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Skills
- Experience working with children, including experience in childcare or education
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage classroom behavior and support students with special needs
- Experience driving school buses
- Commitment to safety and transportation responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations and responsibilities
- Experience working in a classroom setting and familiarity with classroom routines and activities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.95 per hour
