Jaguar Farm Labor Contracting, Inc. has a vacancy in our payroll department at our Delano office, we are looking for a seasonal Payroll Clerk to process payroll in our company. Payroll clerk responsibilities include processing timesheets, updating payroll records and answering employee questions about payments. Ultimately, you’ll ensure employees are compensated correctly and on time.
Responsibilities
- Accurately issue pay to employees by calculating earnings and deductions in accordance with established practices and guidelines.
- Collect, compile and enter payroll data using datatech software.
- Process new employees and review and verify source documents.
- Process payroll by established deadlines.
- Review and correct payroll errors and discrepancies
- Update payroll records by recording changes including insurance coverage, pay increases and garnishments.
- Address employee's pay-related documents including statements and verifications.
- Maintain, scan and file payroll records.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
- Follow company policies and practices while representing the company in an ethical manner.
- Any other tasks, duties, or responsibilities assigned by your supervisor. Contributes to team effort by going above and beyond duties described here.
Skills
- Establish and maintain effective channels of communications with internal and external contacts.
- Experience of payroll processing
- Data entry skills, Strong numerical skills, Planning and time management skills.
- Familiarity with Datatech payroll system
- Computer literate knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft office, Word, Excel
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- Two or more years experience in payroll
