With over 120,000 ER visits, the ER is designated as a Level 1 trauma center. Our Chest Pain Center offers immediate evaluation and the recently expanded Pediatric ED is equipped to handle the most critical cases and supported by one of the largest voluntary ambulance fleet serving the City 911 system.
Job Summary
A Prospective Payment System (PPS) coordinator/supervisor focuses on ensuring compliance with CMS regulations related to inpatient rehabilitation services and the completion of the IRF-PAI for each patient admitted to the Rehab unit. The ideal candidate gathers, verifies/edits clinical data as necessary to score the functional status of patients for the IRF-PAI. The PPS Coordinator will work closely with the Rehab department leader, staff, administrator and medical team on education and performance improvement activities to ensure accurate and timely documentation. You will also provide ongoing educational and in-services to all rehab clinical staff on scoring. The PPS Coordinator oversees outcomes reporting and maintains ongoing compliance to CMS guidelines for IRFs. Also supervises staff on daily Med-Surg operations.
Education
- Completion of an appropriate clinical professional degree - Licensed in NYS as a Physical Therapist
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
Required Skills and /or Experience
- Aware of IRF guidelines or be eligible to be trained in IRF-PAI guidelines
- Intermediate computer skills
Required Licenses/Certifications
- NYS Licensed Physical Therapist
- Maintains clinical license for the State of New York
