Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Content Manager to join our team at Jamis Bicycles, a leading bicycle brand committed to sustainability, performance, and innovation. The Content Manager will oversee all content creation and strategy, ensuring that our messaging is aligned with our brand identity and resonates with our target audience—cyclists, outdoor enthusiasts, and eco-conscious consumers.
The ideal candidate will have experience in content creation, digital marketing, and brand storytelling, with a passion for bicycles and outdoor lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Planning
· Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company’s marketing objectives, including product launches, promotions, and brand awareness campaigns.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Customer Service, etc.) to create content that addresses customer needs, industry trends, and key product features.
· Analyze customer personas and market data to create tailored content that speaks directly to our diverse audience segments.
Content Creation & Management
· Lead the creation of written and visual content for various platforms including the website, blog, email newsletters, social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Tik-Tok), and print materials.
· Write engaging blog posts, product descriptions, and customer success stories that highlight the benefits of cycling, sustainability, and the unique features of our bicycles.
· Work closely with graphic designers, videographers, and photographers to produce high-quality visual content, including instructional videos, product showcases, and cycling lifestyle content.
· Oversee the content calendar to ensure timely delivery of materials and consistency across channels.
SEO & Digital Marketing
· Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to drive organic traffic to the website, blog, and social media pages.
· Track content performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and email marketing reports to adjust strategies and maximize engagement.
· Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO, digital marketing trends, and cycling industry news to maintain a competitive edge.
Brand Voice & Storytelling
· Maintain consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging across all content platforms.
· Develop and share the company’s story through creative content that highlights our core values of innovation, quality, and sustainability.
· Help build a strong community around the brand by encouraging user-generated content, reviews, and engagement on social media.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
· Work closely with the marketing team to ensure content is aligned with campaign goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
· Mentor junior content creators, freelance writers, and interns, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow in their roles.
Content Distribution & Engagement
· Develop strategies for content distribution through social media, email marketing, partnerships, and paid media.
· Engage with online communities, influencers, and brand ambassadors to foster relationships that can amplify brand reach.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
· Experience:
o 3-5 years of experience in content management, digital marketing, or communications, preferably in the outdoor, sports, or bicycle industry.
o Strong portfolio demonstrating writing, content creation, and digital strategy experience.
o Proven track record of managing content campaigns across multiple channels and platforms.
· Skills & Competencies:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
o Ability to understand complex products and translate them into clear, engaging, and accessible content.
o Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.
o Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), social media tools, and email marketing platforms.
o Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
