Responds to questions regarding expenses, in addition to ensuring accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices, panel compensation, and expense reports, and all related reporting. Performs a variety of Accounts Payable functions including coding, posting, and balancing data to the Accounts Payable Ledger. Checks and verifies transactions to ensure consistency and accuracy of documents. Compiles and prepares specialized reports for customers.
Responsibilities
What you will do
- Develops procedures to improve efficiencies, including IT projects.
- Trains Accounts Payable associates.
- Collaborates with team members to assure Finance departmental goals.
- Responds to questions from all constituents relating to Accounts Payable.
- Prepares monthly Accounts Payable accrual, reconciles month-end reports, and transmits 1099 vendor files to EDD.
- Coordinates and fulfills government requirements for Escheat.
- Reviews invoices and expense reports for proper coding and approval, and processing for payment.
- Processes 1099 at year-end, maintains accounting for legal bills including year-end schedules for audit.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline. Preffred
- 7-9 years of working in accounts payable and general ledger accounting. Required
- 4-6 years of working in accounting management in a service-oriented organization. Required
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a quick-paced environment. (Required proficiency)
- Proficient in other software systems such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook. (Required proficiency)
- Knowledge of A/P processing in an automated environment. (Required proficiency)
