$5000 SIGN ON BONUS

$1.50/hour shift premium
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Team Lead or Plant Management Team, the Machinist is responsible for set up, adjust and operate machines to meet dimension and finish requirements on internal surfaces of cylinders, tubes, sleeves, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Set up and run equipment per the appropriate work instruction.
2. Measure and obtain the inspection on the “first” piece produced.
3. Conduct inspection of parts during “run” per the work instruction and maintain part specification.
4. Responsible for maintaining tooling/inserts.
5. Conduct daily/weekly maintenance inspections of equipment and record.
6. Follow established material handling procedures.
7. May operate other equipment/machines as directed by supervision.
8. Must maintain flexibility as job or machining priorities change day to day.
9. Follow all safety rules while performing job functions.
MARGINAL RESPONSIBILIES:
1. Help keep the area clean and neat
2. Assist with the development of more efficient manufacturing methods and procedures.
3. Check machine coolant/concentration levels and service as needed.
4. May be directed to perform other tasks due to a decrease in the work load, machine being down for maintenance or a critical need exists in another area.
5. Must be open-minded to various product designs.
6. Must be able to stay on the “task” due to the manual environment.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Two years of CNC machining experience
3. Associate Degree in machine tool techniques also preferred
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
1. Must be able to read and understand blue prints
2. Set up and operate precision measurement equipment
3. Must be able to work independently
