What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meat Cutter/Butcher position at Jarzyna Farms?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications
-Aid/Preparing Fresh Sausages, Smoked Sausages, Jerky, etc.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of meat products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in our store
- Assist customers with their meat selection and provide excellent customer service
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the store
-Further advancement withing the company is always an option
Skills:
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in food production or culinary roles is preferred but not required for applicants
- Proficient in meat cutting techniques and knowledgeable about different cuts of meat
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent customer service skills to assist customers with their meat selection
- Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
