Located in Truckee, CA, just 20 mins from Lake Tahoe, is a family-owned, long-established veterinary hospital seeking to hire an Associate Veterinarian to join the team.
They are looking for a DVM that will relate well with others, enjoys working with small animals, and is compassionate with care, clients and staff. This is a great opportunity for a veterinarian to step into a high-functioning clinics with a 3-5 day work week with excellent staff support. You will be busy with 20-25 cases daily and will be well rewarded as you apply your knowledge.
They welcome both compassionate experienced veterinarians and recent grad veterinarians to apply, and are open to scheduling flexibility.
Scope:
- Determines the nature of disease or injury by examining pets; examining animals.
- Restores health by treating animals surgically or medically.
- Prevents rabies, brucellosis, and other disorders by testing animals and providing inoculations.
- Promotes health of animals by advising animal owners about sanitation measures, feeding, and general care.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and animal records; reporting diseases to public health officials.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Enhances veterinary clinic reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Animal Behavior, Basic Safety, Documentation Skills, Customer Service, Performing Diagnostic Procedures, Use of Medical Technology, Integrity, Verbal Communication, Surgery and Dental a plus.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution is required.
- State Veterinary Board License must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date.
- Flexible work schedule, with preferred availability to work some weekends and holidays.
Salary : $150,000 - $500,000
