Jasper Health Services, Inc, has an opening for a front office clerical position at our new physician office, Primary Care Center North. JHS, Inc. operates a 55 bed nursing home, 12 bed hospital and provider clinic. We are centrally located between Atlanta and Macon, in Monticello, GA. The office position will assists the Practice Administrator as directed in the routine office functions. Prepares the medical record for medical support staff and physicians. Primary responsibility is answering the telephone, routing all calls to the appropriate staff, and scheduling appointments. Assists or responsible for the daily posting of all revenue, receipts, and adjustments. Assists or responsible for balancing the drawer and completing all deposits. Provides a variety of administrative support services, including clerical/technical duties as directed by the practice administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of High School.
Experience: As least one years’ experience as a Receptionist / Office Assistant required. Experience with automated systems required. Typing and computer experience required.
Skills: Positive interpersonal communication skills. Must demonstrate proficiency in general office duties. Have basic accounting knowledge of accounts receivable programs.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL CONDITIONS:
Requires full range of motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye/hand coordination. Requires corrected vision to acceptable range. Requires communication ability (speak, read, comprehend and write) and hearing to acceptable range. Requires standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, bending and stooping. Must be able to lift, carry and push up to 25 pounds using proper body mechanics. Able to adapt priorities and assignments to frequent interruptions. Includes calculation of adult and/or pediatric dosages and the interpretation of lab values and other diagnostic tests.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Has frequent exposure to infectious diseases. Has the potential of coming in contact with bloodborne pathogens. May come in contact with various fumes, odors, and toxic waste. No temperature extremes are evident. Work setting is frequently fast paced, occasionally variably paced.
