Cashman Preload Cryogenics (CPC) is a premier designer and constructor of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage tanks and facilities. CPC specializes in precast, prestressed concrete technology for these storage tanks. CPC is focused on the North American and Caribbean markets, however, has completed projects across the world. CPC is looking for the right individuals to join a fast-growing company that can help maintain a high level of quality.
Position Overview
The Quality Control Manager (QC Manager) will be responsible for ensuring CPC’s projects maintain our high level of quality. The role will start during detailed engineering with a preparation and review of weld procedures and establishing the required QC documentation for a job. The QC Manager will then be a key member of the field team, inspecting welds, managing third party inspectors, documenting QC inspections, and preparing QC related turn over documents.
Essential Duties / Functions:
- Inspect and accept or reject work based on compliance with applicable Codes and specifications
- Witness and document tests by third party inspectors
- Arrange for test by third party inspectors
- Prepare reports and quality records in compliance with procedures
- Inspect materials as they are received on the job site
Minimum Education Requirements of the Position:
- Bachelor's degree or greater in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering is preferred
Minimum Licensure Requirements of the Position:
- AWS CWI
- API 653 certification preferred
Minimum Experience required of the position:
- Minimum of 5-10 years minimum related experience
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
- Should be familiar with ASME Sec. VIII, Sec. IX, B31.1, B31.3, API 650/653, 1104 Codes
- Strong understanding of industry practices, processes and standards
- Analytical thinking and problem solving
- Adaptability to changing priorities and effective / efficiency goal achievement
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skill
- Computer skills including Word and Excel
Location:
- Main Office (Quincy, MA) (about 25% of time)
- Travel to project sites for extended periods (about 75% of time)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climates and environments
Additional Requirements:
- Absent an approved exemption, due to federal, state, local, provincial and/or client-requirements, this position may require an individual to be fully vaccinated by an FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine or/and undergo weekly testing upon hire and as a condition of continued employment
