What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unloader position at Jay-Mar, Inc.?
Jay-Mar, Inc., an agricultural supply company, seeks a full-time, seasonal employee to unload railroad cars and bulk semi-trucks. Candidates will use a W14 case pay loader to move the railroad cars over the unloading conveyor pit. Also, the bulk semi-trucks will be unloaded into an unloading conveyor pit. These people must be attentive to detail, reliable, conscientious, a self-starter and capable of heavy lifting (50#). Forklift experience or knowledge of operating equipment is a plus. These positions require daily contact with semi drivers. Therefore, applicants must possess a pleasant and helpful personality. Candidates will also have to be able to work longer hours during the week and part-days on Saturdays as well. These long hours allow you to earn money quickly. Any time worked longer than 40 hours during the work week counts as overtime and is paid out at time and a half. Every seasonal employee is eligible for additional incentives, such as a $1/hour bonus should their performance be satisfactory and stay until the end of the season. These additional incentives and the starting hourly wage will be discussed at the time of the interview and is negotiable based on experience.
