Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welding and light fabrication is preferred
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust
- Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals, schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- General building maintenance duties including light repair and replacement, trash management, recycling, and plumbing
- Ordering parts and tooling as needed and approved by management
- Comply with OSHA Safety Guidelines and Safety program
- Submit CPARS to Quality as they arise to uphold our commitment to continuous improvement
- Maintain a clean and safe work station

- Other responsibilities as assigned by management
- Ability to assist in improvements and a thorough understanding of mechanical devices is a plus
Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Formal and extensive training in mechanical environment
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturing
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and perform basic math skills
- Strong communication skills and familiarity with working in a team-based environment is preferred
- Ability to use a variety of tools
- Able to follow directions
- Strong manual dexterity
Physical Demands: Light to heavy physical effort required on a constant basis
- Must be able to work from elevated platforms
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
- Required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for an entire shift
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Safety Toe boot/shoes are required
- Other PPE required as needed depending on scope of work
Work Environment:
- Variable work environment.
- Work is mostly conducted in the plant.
- Sometimes conducted outdoors with varying environmental conditions
- Contains any number of elements including but not limited to fiberglass/insulation material, dust, fumes, and noise
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
