The CoA (Coming of Age) Older Adult Programs & Events Coordinator is a highly motivated, organized individual who has the drive and passion to connect and engage with the older adult population. This is an exciting opportunity to develop partnerships and work directly with our community, enhancing participants' experiences. We are looking for an individual who has commitment, enthusiasm, and creativity.

This is a part-time, in-person position, scheduled for 25-27 hours per week.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Help develop, plan, and implement trips, lectures, classes, and other programs and events for older adults.
  • Assist CoA Director in researching, coordinating and scheduling guest speakers, performers, and films, as well as finding monthly excursion destinations, including theatres, museums, and other cultural sites.
  • Fulfill administrative duties and responsibilities, including:
    • Maintaining registrations, rosters, payments, and mailing lists.
    • Submitting program and marketing requests through CRM database (Salesforce).
  • Work in partnership with marketing department to promote and publicize programs.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and surveys.
  • Assist in organizing special community events, including overnight trips.
  • Travel for programs, meetings, and multi-day events, as required.
  • Provide a friendly, inclusive, service-oriented environment for all participants.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned.

You should have:

  • Microsoft Office and database experience required; knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work evening / weekend events, as well as attend overnight trips, as required.
  • Ability to move equipment and supplies as required.
  • Ability to travel internationally, as needed.
  • Bachelor of Arts degree and/or relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience working with the older adult population preferred.
  • Previous experience developing and executing events and/or presenting programs preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a part-time, non-exempt position, with an hourly pay rate of $24 - $26, commensurate with experience. As a part-time employee, benefits include paid time off, retirement, FSA, and a flexible working environment. You'll also receive a full family membership to the Bender JCC, including complete access to the entire fitness facility and pools, plus staff discounts on programs and services.
