Position Summary:

The Campus Clinical Coordinator is responsible for providing diagnostic assessment and treatment to children and adolescents in residential care. This role requires an advanced level of clinical knowledge, communication skills, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice. The Campus Clinical Coordinator works with interdisciplinary teams and external providers to ensure safe, effective, and quality client care. The Campus Clinical Coordinator plays a vital role in the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents in residential care, ensuring they receive comprehensive and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct face-to-face, in-person consultations with clients experiencing crisis/psychiatric emergencies.
  • Perform clinical assessments to evaluate various mental health and behavioral conditions in children and adolescents.
  • Utilize screening and assessment tools to determine psychiatric acuity.
  • Collaborate with safety and treatment teams to provide client-centered recommendations.
  • Provide ongoing reassessment and crisis intervention while clients remain in the emergency room or within the community.
  • Ensure that each client’s rights are protected and that they receive appropriate interventions based on their ability to participate, cultural concerns, and diagnostic impressions.
  • Participate in departmental activities such as clinical care conferences, staff meetings, and trainings.
  • Share expertise and clinical impressions with team members and trainees.
  • Maintain progress notes and other documentation required for client records and utilization management within the timelines outlined by JCCA.
  • Provide feedback on clinical and diagnostic matters to management staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and utilization review activities as requested.
  • Oversee the clinical functions and integrity of the Crisis Program; participate in program development and evaluation of the Safe Space Program.
  • Provide on-call consultation and shift coverage.
  • Supervise interns relative to clinical licensure, scope of practice and fee-for-service clinicians.
  • Complete other related tasks as appropriate to the clinical needs of the Crisis Services continuum.

 

Qualifications:

  •  New York State licensed LCSW/LMSW/LMHC/ CASAC - must be a fully Credentialed
  •  Strong clinical background in crisis intervention and management.
  •   Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills, particularly in using short-term treatment models.
  • Experience in the use of electronic health records software.
  • Previous experience in Residential Setting is highly preferred
  • NYS Driver’s license is needed to drive Agency vehicles - NJ, CT license is acceptable
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Professionalism and adherence to systems-based practice.
  • Competency in utilizing various screening and assessment tools.
  • Ability to document clinical work accurately and promptly.
  • Experience in program development and quality improvement initiatives.

Salary: $68,500 - $75,500
