Job Duties

Growth and development of each Logistics Executive (LE) into a logistics, sales professional to include :

  • Perform all sales training classes in a way that is both educational and engaging
  • Host sales meetings and after-hours call sessions
  • Cold call with new LE’s and observe as they practice cold calling
  • Document the performance of each LE, create a profile that outlines their strengths / weaknesses and collaborate with Sales Manager to address each
  • Organize prospecting projects that promote sales growth for LE’s
  • Assist the Sales Manager with the development of all LE’s
  • Responsible for knowing prospecting and sales goals for each LE in the “bullpen” as well as the performance metrics used to evaluate their success :

  • New customers and prospect advancement
  • Monitor call volumes to ensure acceptable activity levels
  • LE’s number of prospects, core prospects, and ratio of core prospects to customers.
  • Work with Sale Managers and Accounting Team to approve new customers :

  • Understand D&B and Blue Book ratings and ensure customer packets are submitted with bank info prior to requesting (unless exception approved by upper management).
  • Anticipate customers’ needs by obtaining necessary credit before it’s needed.
  • Ability to fill in for Sales Managers for the sales floor in the event the SM is in a meeting, interview or is out of office.
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with VP and Sales Managers to present performance trends with bullpen LEs
  • Stay well-informed of industry trends for future development of JEAR
  • Additional responsibilities as determined by VP of Sales and other members of leadership team

  • Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Knowledge :

  • Sales - knowledge of principles and methods for selling services.
  • Customer Service - knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
  • Administration and management - knowledge of business and management principles involved in leadership and coordination of people and resources.
  • MS Office Proficiency
  • English language - knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Experience :

  • Previous management or training experience preferred.
  • Compensation :

  • 55K to $65K with quarterly bonus incentives of up to $10,000.
  • Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
