JMA is looking for full-time Medical Assistant CMA - RMA to join our energetic, well trained team.
In this float position you will have the opportunity to enjoy variety of your workplace at two of our outstanding locations in Wake Forest and Clayton.
By joining our fantastic team of providers and support staff, Medical Assistant CMA - RMA's are able to utilize your medical assistant skills with the following clinical responsibilities:
- Working as a valued member of our clinical care team (Providers, RN, LPN, Lab Tech, Lactation Consultant, CMA, RMA) providing quality care to our pediatric patients/families watching our patients grow through their milestones.
- Rooming and/or intake process, collecting data, including vital signs, height, weight, vision, hearing, and data related to patient's reason for visit;
- Gathering patient and family data, including medical and social history;
- Reviews patient's current medication list, allergies and preferred pharmacy;
- Assists the provider as directed, during treatments, examinations and procedures;
- Administers vaccinations under the direction of a provider;
- Collects lab specimens;
- Reviews the patient record to determine whether patient requires any routine health screenings;
- Provides patient with after-visit, follow-up, self-care or procedural instructions and/or educational materials as directed by provider.
Opportunities to expand Medical Assistant CMA - RMA skills:
- Coordination of specialty programs - Vaccine Inventory Coordinator, Population Health Specialist, and other opportunities for continued growth.
