What are the responsibilities and job description for the CADD DESIGNER position at Jei Engineering Inc?
The job consists primarily of CADD Design Drafting and Design Development of Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation Systems. Experience in CADWorx and is a plus. A good understanding of Electrical design development and coordination with other disciplines is essential. Responsibilities include preparing Single Line drawings, preparing Electrical Schematics, developing and controlling raceway and conduit schedules, developing and controlling cable schedules. Adherence to specification and NFPA standards is required.
The applicant should be familiar with reading both 2D and 3D drawings and be able to visualize the end product and prepare details for assuring the installation requirements are communicated. The position requires following project standards and specifications, working smoothly with others in developing designs and in taking ownership in the product output.
Work is primarily 95% office and 5% field work in support of plant projects during development and construction phases. Some travel would be required. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Word and Excel are required. Experience with Electrical Hazardous Areas is a plus.
