What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finisher position at Jenjacs?
Job summary
At JenJacs the Aerospace Cabinet Finishers are required to learn our company’s specific
designed finish process. The finisher is also required to adhere to all company quality and
safety requirements. JenJacs will consider applications from skilled Cabinet Finishers down to
entry level non-experienced finishers.
Responsibilities/daily tasks (may include but not limited to)
- Smooth, shape, and touch-up surfaces to prepare them for finishing using various sanding techniques.
- Buff the applied finish to ensure a high gloss finish with no defects is achieved.
- Spray clear coats and roll on curable primers to achieve a quality finish.
- Mask off cabinetry to achieve the correct finish per customer specs.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the company handbook
Qualifications
- Ability to stand in one spot for 10 hours or longer.
- Ability to pick up on new ideas and take direction.
- OK with working weekends and long hours as required.
- Spray clear coats and roll on curable primers to achieve a quality finish.
- Mask off cabinetry to achieve the correct finish per customer specs.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the company handbook
- Must have a good work ethic and be eager to learn.
- Experience sanding and buffing high end veneers.
- Ability to work Monday – Saturday, 5 AM – 6 PM, and holidays as requested. With the occasional need to work past 6 PM or on Sunday.
Relation of the position to others in the company
The Aerospace Cabinet Finisher works directly under our Finish Shop Management System. The finisher will be trained to perform our company specific finish process and is expected to complete the job exactly how trained.
