What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Jenks Veterinary Hospital?
Jenks Veterinary Hospital is searching for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! We are looking for compassionate, motivated team players who are committed to excellent client service and exceptional patient care.
This is a part -time role comprised of Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 8am - 6pm and rotating Saturdays.
The ideal candidate:
- Upbeat, positive personality
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities
- Enjoys connecting with clients as well as the team
- Friendly personality and excellent customer service skills
- Remains calm in emotional, stressful, and fast-paced environments
- Committed to a career in veterinary medicine with interest in growth and ongoing training
- Experience in a veterinary office or other animal-related career is a plus, but not required
Skills and responsibilities:
- Client service and communication
- Welcoming and discharging patients
- Collaboration with other team members
- Managing phone lines
- Booking appointments
- Setting up new clients and patients
- Over-the-counter sales
- Financial transactions
- General front desk duties (email, faxing, filing, etc.)
- Ensuring that the reception area of the hospital is always clean and presentable
- Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings, noticing areas of need within the practice
