Culinary Aide Support
Position Information: Full Time, 10:30am - 7pm, 5 days per week including 1 weekend shift per week.
Position Description
Performs a variety of tasks to assure residents receive timely, attractive, high quality, satisfying food and snacks.
Essential Functions
- Follow oral directions.
- Follow written directions.
- Set up tables.
- Serve in dining room
- Assist in preparing and covering food.
- Pour and cover beverages and serve food. Serve residents in the dining room
- Bus tables and dishes wherever food is served.
- Clean work area.
- Assist in the proper care and use of kitchen equipment.
- Attend in-service training programs for Culinary staff.
- Observe infection control procedures related to the Culinary Services Department
- Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
- Relate to residents, families and staff in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner.
- Meet meal schedules.
Other duties and responsibilities:
- Adhere to Resident Rights policies at all times.
- Observe all facility safety policies and procedures.
- Observe all infection control policies.
- Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
- Follow and assume accountability for all policies and procedures contained in the Staff Handbook.
- Plan work in an efficient manner and demonstrate dependability.
- Support campus wide activities by offering ideas, participating on committees and attending staff and resident events.
- Function as an active member of the team, supporting fellow team members and working effectively with other individuals and teams.
- Understand and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program.

- Perform all other related duties as directed by your supervisor and/or manager.
Qualifications
- Some prior food service experience would be helpful but not mandatory
- Positive attitude, high flexibility, willing team spirit required.
- Understands and communicates job-related information and directions in English.
