Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal Sheet Metal Fabricator:

• Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience, OR
• High School Diploma with at least 6 years of experience
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures
• Strong mathematical and engineering skills
• Preferred: AWS Certification and advanced welding experience
• Preferred: Forklift Certification

Responsibilities: As a Sheet Metal Fabricator at Jessee Heating and Air, you will:

• Collaborate closely with install and project managers to receive orders and create magic!
• Bring your expertise to life by fabricating metals for commercial and residential HVAC installation projects.
• Be a backbone of support for our warehouse operations, including receiving materials, maintaining inventory, and keeping the shop clean and organized.
• Showcase your creativity by building custom drain pans, shrouds, spark arrestors, plenums, transitions, duct fittings, frames, and more.
• Take pride in submitting fabrication orders, material orders, purchase orders, and project labor details to our accounting team.

Skills and Abilities:

• Accurately read and calculate measurements, ensuring precision is your middle name.
• Master the art of cutting and bending sheet metal, turning it into your canvas.
• Safely operate metal breaks and presses
• Weld and solder metals, forging connections that stand the test of time.
• Embrace the efficiency of a plasma cutter, turning metal into magic.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, painting a clear picture of your expertise.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints with the eye of a skilled artist.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety, adhering to all rules, policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Flex your strength by lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Be a team player, working seamlessly within a diverse and talented team.
