Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing/Production

Maintenance technicians install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment. Their responsibilities also include building and maintaining mechanical systems, and involve the use of a variety of hand and power tools. This position will work Tuesday through Saturday 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.
• Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
• Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments.
• Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Performing general maintenance work on facilities as assigned.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge Requirements:

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English. (verbal/written)
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment. (PPE)
• Ability to work in elevated areas. (4 feet and above)
• Minimum of one year of experience with industrial electrical knowledge and mechanical maintenance trades.
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.
• PLC experience preferred, but not required.
