Description

This position is for a person who is interested in sustainable farming and food production. The Greenhouse Operations Team Member will assist in the aeroponic greenhouse to ensure fresh, high-quality leafy greens and herbs are available to our customers. This position involves the main aspects of greenhouse operations, including cleaning, power washing, harvesting, seeding, and transplanting using organic farming methods. This position does include heavy lifting.

This is a temporary position for approximately 24 hours per week.

Salary: $20.00 per hour

This position will be posted through August 7, 2025

Responsibilities:

• Greenhouse cleaning (use of shop vacuums, pressure washers, brooms, mops, and cleaning rags)
• Cleaning with bleach, vinegar, food-grade sanitizers, and Isopropyl alcohol daily.
• Support the Farm Manager and Operations Team Lead.
• Seeding and transplanting.
• Plant harvesting with scissors and packaging.
• Trimming of plants with scissors.
• Trash and recycling disposal.
• Maintain food safety in compliance with farm guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

Experience (will train on the specifics of the farm operation):

• 2 years of experience in a restaurant or farming operation is desired.
• Knowledge of planting, harvesting, and trimming of plants is desired.
• Experience in outdoor and/or indoor farming operations preferred.
• Experience in food safety and cleanliness.
• Familiar with using a power washer.

• Must be able to perform manual labor, including frequent lifting of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb and stand on step stools and small ladders.
