Hours: 3pm - 12:15am (must be able flexible to work OT)
Plastic injection molding experience a must
Forklift Experience preferred
An employee-owned company is hiring a set up technician for the 2nd shift.
SUMMARY
The Press Setup Operator primary responsibilities is to set up molds per company requirements. This position requires technical and mechanical skills.
· Qualification Requirements: High school diploma required. Two years’ experience in set-up and troubleshooting injection molding machines. Must possess the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions. Must possess the ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly. Must be able to safely operate a die cart and forklift. Must be able to work on a team and get along with others.
· Job Duties, Functions, Responsibilities: Troubleshoots problems as they arise on the floor. Ensures that jobs conform to specifications on Work Orders (i.e. correct material, proper regrind ratios). Notifies Foreman of machinery problems. Ensures that workstations and surrounding areas are clean. Perform operator's jobs during breaks if required. Sets and removes molds. Performs start-up and cycling-in of molds. Ensures that all necessary documentation is posted at press. Completes set-up checklists. Maintains mold racks.
