The pay range for this position is 71,291-148,067. Base pay is determined by factors including candidate experience and qualifications, education and work location. Responsibilities
- Consultation and Strategy:
- Partner with dealership leadership to review and enhance current business strategies, KPIs, and operational practices.
- Conduct strategy discussions leveraging in-depth knowledge of automotive trends, industry benchmarks, and best practices.
- Advise on leveraging dealership technology (e.g., DMS, electronic MPI systems) to maximize operational efficiency.
- Market Analysis and Business Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive business evaluations, analyzing processes, performance metrics, service personnel, and market potential.
- Perform market research to identify selling opportunities and assess dealership needs.
- Stay up to date on competitive landscape, providing insights into differentiators and dealership positioning.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain long-lasting professional consulting relationships with existing and potential dealers.
- Ensure consistent communication with dealerships, Field Sales, and all stakeholders, providing regular updates throughout engagements.
- Actively manage client relationships in collaboration with Director of Dealer Performance (DDPs) and Dealer Performance Managers (DPMs) to identify new opportunities.
- Process Improvement and ROI Analysis:
- Develop customized improvement plans for dealer engagements based on individual needs and findings from business evaluations.
- Collaborate with Lead Consultants to implement and monitor deployment strategies.
- Track and trend ROI to ensure client expectations are met and engagements yield measurable outcomes.
- Sales and Lead Tracking:
- Capture and manage all sales activity in the designated tracking system (e.g., Lead Tracker).
- Identify, pursue, and close new Fixed Operations Consulting opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement and Feedback:
- Provide regular feedback on consulting practices to ensure service offerings remain relevant and innovative.
- Stay informed on emerging dealership technologies and trends, ensuring recommendations align with industry advancements.
- Proven sales ability, particularly in consultative or B2B selling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles to various audiences.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in service management roles within a dealership (e.g., parts, service, or repair departments).
- Solid Fixed Operations background, with a deep understanding of dealership processes and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and adaptable to learning new software.
- Experience with Electronic MPI systems required; working knowledge of multiple DMS platforms preferred.
- Willingness to travel 100%, including overnight and multi-week trips.
- Background in consulting or client advisory roles is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and create actionable strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously while ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
- Knowledge of customer experience (CSI) improvement strategies to help dealerships boost satisfaction scores.
- Experience in process mapping and identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Proven track record of helping dealerships achieve measurable financial and operational improvements.
- Ability to effectively coach and train dealership personnel to sustain changes post-engagement.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset, with a focus on teamwork and building consensus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
