Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support our growing human resources department. You will be responsible for job postings, reaching out to candidates, assisting with the hiring process, scheduling new employee orientations, managing employee records and other administrative duties as required. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also support the HR department with new hire onboarding. In addition, you will consistently maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all information to which you are given access, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting any non-compliance concerns and aligning with JM Pet Resort and Veterinary Clinic’s policies and procedures.
Compensation will depend on experience
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR function and duties
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Manager
- Source, screen and hire candidates
- Manage and update the applicant tracking system with candidate information and status
- Identify hiring needs and collaborate with department managers to compile hiring needs
- Make job description revisions, as needed
- Create and extend offer letters
- Plan and attend Job fairs/In-House Career fairs
- Collaborate with HR team members to improve recruitment processes and strategies
- Maintain and organize recruitment records and documentation
- Coordinate HR projects (Meeting/Corporate calendar, Event Planning, Email List, Intern programs, etc.)
- Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule both working and on-site interviews
- Send out announcements in WIW introducing all new hires
- Conduct onboarding to newly hired employees
- Coordinate with department managers and post all new hire schedules for the first week of employment
- Ensure accurate and timely updates in Basecamp by posting documents and maintaining files
- Maintain and implement Predictive Index information for hiring needs and staff training
- Complete special projects as assigned by the HR manager
Qualifications
- 1-2 years recruiting experience required
- Computer savvy, ability to use multiple software platforms daily to accomplish business objectives
- Strong work ethic, sets high standards for self and others
- Highly organized; able to juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Passionate about animal welfare, treats all animals with compassion and kindness
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or relevant experience required
Computer Skills
- Must be able to learn and effectively use all appropriate technology to effectively perform role
- Must be able to learn and easily adapt to new technology to meet business needs
Working Conditions
- Potential exposure to dog and cat bites
- Potential exposure to contagious diseases or infections
- Exposure to contaminants
- Must work around pet hair and dander
Physical Demands
- Regular standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching and climbing
- Lift and carry up to 50lbs regularly
- Sufficient manual dexterity for all tasks
- Ability to hear animal vocalizations and verbal instructions clearly
- Visual acuity to read materials

Pay: From $58,500.00 per year
