Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Lead Cook to oversee kitchen operations and ensure food is prepared efficiently and to the highest standards. This role includes supervising prep staff, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and assisting with inventory and food orders. The ideal candidate is a team leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in their craft.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present meals according to established recipes and guidelines
• Lead and train kitchen staff in food preparation and safety procedures
• Ensure food quality, portion control, and timely meal delivery
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and receiving supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
• Communicate with supervisors or dietary teams to coordinate menus and special requests
• Step in to support all kitchen roles as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a cook required; leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong understanding of food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures
• Ability to manage and mentor a small team in a kitchen setting
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods
• ServSafe certification is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
