The Locum General Surgeon will be responsible for performing surgeries with the flexibility to manage their schedule and caseload.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preoperative consultations to discuss the potential risks and benefits of surgical intervention.
- Perform a wide array of general surgeries while adhering to the highest standards of medical practice.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan and execute complex surgeries.
- Monitor patients' recovery, and provide appropriate post-operative care and advice.
- Work closely with the medical team to ensure the quality of care, patient safety, and continuity of services.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in general surgery and integrate them into surgical procedures when applicable.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those regarding patient confidentiality and informed consent.
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities.
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery.
- Proven experience in various surgical procedures, including preoperative and post-operative care.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Exceptional decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous education and staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.
