Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage, and direct all aspects of a project from beginning to end.
- Develop and maintain the construction schedule in conjunction with project team to meet milestones and completion dates.
- Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes.
- Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule.
- Conduct quality control duties and responsibilities concerning the work being performed.
- Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
- Establish, implement, and manage the project quality control plan.
- Ensure that all materials and equipment are installed and tested in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Conduct regular meetings with project team to discuss progress and resolve issues.
- Ensure that the worksite remains clean and safe at all times.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the heavy civil construction industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully overseeing heavy civil construction projects from start to finish.
- Thorough understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety laws and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in construction management software.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Excellent skills in Quality Control.
