Job Details
The successful candidate may be involved in writing eligibility reports that assess for Intellectual Disabilities and Autism.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using standardized measures such as the WISC and other appropriate assessment tools.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
- Determine Regional Center eligibility according to the California-state Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Act.
- Provide advocacy, support, and mental-health leadership as a member of the multi-disciplinary diagnostic and consultation team.
- Advise families and individuals of resources and service recommendations.
- Monitor and evaluate treatment progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their diagnosis and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical services provided.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing clinical psychology services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism.
- Experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations using standardized measures such as the WISC.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices for the treatment of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
