Responsibilities
As a Permanent Tooling Technician, you will be at the heart of our manufacturing operations, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our production processes. Your responsibilities will include
- Operating and maintaining a range of CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components.
- Using precision measurement tools to ensure components meet exact specifications.
- Troubleshooting issues with tools and machines, identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.
- Grinding, welding, and carrying out other tooling operations as required.
- Collaborating with other team members to improve production processes and enhance efficiency.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety guidelines.
- Providing training and guidance to less experienced team members.
To be successful in this role, you will need a specific set of skills and qualifications, including
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tooling Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of CNC machine operation, with the ability to program, set up, and operate a range of machines.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and interpreting technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record in troubleshooting and resolving issues with tools and machines.
- Experience in grinding and welding operations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of relevant guidelines and procedures.
