The Content Writer (product focus) will shape the in-product content experience, crafting clear and helpful content that enhances user experience and supports business goals.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including product managers, designers, engineers, support, marketing, and user research – to align content with product goals and user needs.
• Develop and maintain in-product content that supports user tasks and enhances usability. Take a holistic approach to ensure every experience aligns with the brand’s voice, creating cohesive and meaningful interactions.
• Present and justify content decisions to stakeholders using data, research, and UX best practices.
• Maintain and evolve the content style guide to contribute to design system documentation for enhanced efficiency and visibility.
• Use tools like Figma or Sketch to work directly within design files.
• Promote a seamless customer experience by providing content for additional channels like SMS, support articles, transactional emails, and more.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in English, Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience with UX content, ideally within financial, tax, SaaS, or similar industries.
• Strong understanding of UX principles and how content supports the user journey.
• Exceptional reading and writing skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear, user-friendly language.
• Keen attention to detail and a self-starter mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain content strategy and decisions to cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma and Sketch, and experience creating and iterating on content in context.
• Knowledge of plain language principles, accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), and inclusive design practices.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (remote and on-site in our Augusta, Ga office).
• Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
