Job Summary:

Motion Recruitment delivers IT Talent Solutions for Contract, Direct Hire, Managed Solutions and Statement of Work to all of North America. They are seeking a Data Strategy & Engineering Lead to spearhead their company-wide data transformation, focusing on architecting modern data infrastructure and driving the adoption of AI-powered tools.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and redesign the company’s data architecture to be scalable and future-ready

• Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines for both structured and unstructured data

• Create dashboards and reporting tools to enable real-time decision-making

• Partner with business teams to understand their data needs and deliver effective solutions

• Lead AI initiatives from ideation to deployment, particularly around generative AI and predictive analytics

• Champion data governance, quality, and best practices across the organization

Qualifications:

Required:

• 6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL

• Deep experience with Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL), or equivalent cloud platforms like AWS or GCP

• Proven ability to design and scale data infrastructure and pipelines

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field

• Excellent communicator who can translate technical work into business value

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future

Preferred:

• Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, and APIs (e.g., OpenAI) is a strong plus
