Job Summary:
Oumi is on a mission to make frontier AI truly open for all, providing an all-in-one platform to build state-of-the-art AI models. They are seeking an exceptional Front-End Engineer to design and build sophisticated, interactive web interfaces for their AI platform, focusing on frontend architecture, interaction design, and performance.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain highly responsive, modular UIs using React and TypeScript
• Design scalable, component-based architectures that support dynamic, interactive, and data-heavy AI tools and dashboards
• Implement advanced, real-time data visualizations to help users interpret and interact with large datasets and model outputs
• Ensure UI responsiveness and maintainability, even under heavy data loads and real-time updates
• Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver cohesive, intuitive experiences for AI practitioners
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proven track record building and scaling complex, interactive front-end applications
• Strong understanding of component architecture, advanced state management (e.g. Zustand, Redux, TanStack Query), and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with D3.js, WebGL, or similar data visualization libraries
• Comfortable working with REST and GraphQL APIs to build UIs that are driven by dynamic and complex data
• Excellent communication and the ability to work effectively with designers, backend engineers, and domain experts
• Interest in or experience contributing to open-source UI tools or design systems

Preferred:
• Contributions to open-source frontend or visualization libraries
• Experience designing interfaces for AI/ML, scientific, or data platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for frontend apps
• Exposure to backend technologies or infrastructure (FastAPI, Flask, Django, AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience working with Rust for performance-critical browser components
