Job Summary:

The BI Developer, Analytics role involves designing and developing data solutions, creating interactive dashboards, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver business intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.

• Involved in building and preparing data sets that involve extract, transform, and load processes from various sources, transform it into a usable format and load it into data warehouses or BI platforms.

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports to visualize data in a user-friendly manner.

• Analyze data sets to identify trends, patterns and insights relevant to business objectives.

• Create and maintain data models to structure and organize data for efficient analysis and reporting.

• Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve data efficiently from databases, ensuring optimal performance of BI solutions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, data analysts and other teams to understand data requirements and deliver BI solutions that meet business needs.

• Identify and resolve issues related to data quality, integrity and performance in BI solutions.

• Document data sources, data definitions, ETL processes and BI solutions to ensure clarity and maintainability.

• Perform test and validate BI solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability and adherence to business requirements.

• Emerge BI technologies, best practices and industry trends to continuously improve BI solutions and processes.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field

• Two years of experience in the job offered or two years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained

• One year of experience in building and maintaining Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to extract data from various sources, transform it into a usable format, and load it into data warehouses using Python and Jupiter Notebook

• One year of experience in designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports to visualize data in a user-friendly manner using Tableau and PowerBI

• One year of experience in analyzing data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business objectives using Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn

• One year of experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries to retrieve data efficiently using Microsoft SQL Server ensuring optimal performance of BI solutions

• One year of experience in communicating with business users, stakeholders, other teams, to understand data requirements and deliver BI solutions that meet business needs using MS teams, Python, SQL, Tableau

• One year of experience in identifying and resolving issues related to data quality, integrity, and performance in BI solutions using advanced Excel

• Proficient in developing and implementing data models for new and existing databases to support business processes and applications

• Required to work from Company Office (Chicago, IL) certain days per week. Telecommuting allowed for balance of week.
