Job Summary:
Audible is an internet provider of spoken audio entertainment and is seeking a Programmer Analyst to enhance their data engineering solutions. This role involves collaborating with global analytics stakeholders to integrate and model data, execute ETL processes, and ensure high-quality data solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess source systems, identify foundational data sources, determine transformation needs, create appropriate data models, and document the design and specifications
• Develop systems and datasets by applying software engineering best practices, fundamental data management principles, contemporary distributed systems
• Create, maintain, and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into data storage systems
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines, databases, and related systems
• Demonstrate passion for quality and productivity by use of efficient development techniques, standards and guidelines
• Produce technical documentation to support data delivery development
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or equivalent
• 1 years of experience in a Data Warehouse (DWH) environment and experience with Data integration/ETL of large and complex data sets
Preferred:
• Expertise in performance tuning and scaling of BI systems
• Proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as AWS Redshift and expertise in performance tuning and scaling in a DWH environment
• Data modeling skills such as Star/Snowflake schema design for DWH
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with different teams for sourcing of data
• Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g. Python)
• Effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn fast, work independently with little supervision and deliver on time quality products
• Experience with Agile Scrum
