Job Summary:
Accenture Federal Services is dedicated to helping the US federal government improve national security and public safety. The Junior Python Developer will implement functionality for data processing applications and work within an agile team to translate requirements into user stories and ensure code quality through automated testing.
Responsibilities:
• Work with the Chief Engineer and Technical Leads to translate requirements into user stories to incorporate new functionality into various software applications
• Build with automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality and robust CI/CD deployment processes
• Experience developing Python-based web APIs to interface with cloud applications and databases as part of cloud native software applications
• Experience working as part of an Agile team to iteratively deliver software
• Experience integrating Python code into Docker containers as part of a distributed architecture
Qualifications:
Required:
• 1 year of experience with software development
• Experience with Python to include PySpark, Pandas or Numpy
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• Experience developing Python-based web APIs to interface with cloud applications and databases as part of cloud native software applications
• Experience working as part of an Agile team to iteratively deliver software
• Experience integrating Python code into Docker containers as part of a distributed architecture
• Knowledge of the cloud software deployment process
• Familiarity with parallel processing in Python
• Large data processing using packages such as PySpark
• Optimizing Python code for deployment as part of a containerized architecture
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
Preferred:
• Experience with Python ORM tools for database as code such as SQLAlchemy
• Experience deploying containerized Python code using Docker on cloud platforms such as AWS
