Job Summary:

They are seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead experimentation and modeling in the marketing domain, focusing on analytics for forecasting, pricing, and media. The role involves developing models, curating data, and educating the team on best practices in data science.
Responsibilities:
• Authoring model implementations in the Python scientific stack
• Specifying prerequisite work for data engineering groups
• Procuring additional data sources to support modeling or experimentation, or advocating for changes to Hasbro’s data ecosystem that would improve these activities
• Documenting findings on which methods work for Hasbro, what special treatments are necessary, and why
• Researching and specifying mathematical forms for models and experimental design and analysis
• Specifying work for outsourced data science capacity
• Visualizing and interpreting model results for key business partners
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and git including:
• Python plotting libraries, Pandas, scikit-learn
• A probabilistic programming library like Pyro, Tensorflow Probability, or PyMC
• Experience measuring the effects of digital media using modeling and experimental methods, and connecting digital and traditional media actions with impact on physical purchases and shopper behavior
• Experience with Google Analytics or other web analytics platform
• Deep knowledge of major advertising data ecosystems (Amazon, Google Search, YouTube, Meta, Tiktok)
• Worked with ML Engineers to establish 'always on' loops of model training, validation, deployment and inference
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in physics, mathematics, or other hard science
Preferred:
• Bonus proficiencies: dbt, Dash
