Job Summary:
A. O. Smith Corporation is a global leader in innovative technologies and energy-efficient solutions for water heating and treatment products. They are seeking a Senior SAP Data Engineer to manage the SAP BODS system and support data integration solutions, focusing on data governance and quality.
Responsibilities:
• Create & Manage SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) data replication jobs.
• Create datasets, views and data extracts using ETL & virtualization platforms.
• Responsible for developing SAP BODS workflows/dataflows/mapping.
• Actively participate in requirements and design meetings for data integration, conversion, & migration initiatives.
• Data Profiling using SAP Information Steward for Data Cleansing and data governance.
• Create ETL jobs to move data between data systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data integration processes.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of data integration processes.
• Provide round the clock Production support.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or relatable degree with IT Experience.
• 8 years of experience in Information Technology disciplines.
• Deep understanding of relational databases, queries, & database programming.
• Knowledge and experience with Data Quality & Analysis.
• Knowledge and experience with Data migration, integration and management tools.
• Knowledge and experience with Data modeling and database design.
• Experience In SAP Information Steward, SAP BODS, SLT.
Preferred:
• In-depth understanding of database migration principles & experience with the migration of mission critical databases across multiple database platforms.
• Expertise in MSSQL, SSIS, and scripting languages.
• Familiarity with data virtualization tools (Denodo).
• Must have strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Must demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines.
• Must be able to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers.
