Business Analyst (Financial)

Trigyn's direct government client has a long-term contract assignment for Business Analyst in Columbia, South Carolina. The particulars of the position are as follows.

Description: The client is looking for a financial business analyst will report to the functional manager to provide status updates on assigned tasks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Functional Manager and Business Analysts to identify areas for improvement within the Automated Child Support System and deliver practical, actionable recommendations.
• Analyze existing workflows to uncover inefficiencies and pain points.
• Design optimized workflows for complex processes in alignment with business requirements.
• Propose enhanced functionality for complex financial activities within the Automated Child Support System.
• Design self-guiding workflows, including guided navigation, tooltips, and contextual assistance, for critical areas such as order entry and financial adjustments.
• Design user-friendly features such as step-by-step wizards, contextual help, and automated guidance to improve usability and reduce training needs.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews as needed to gain a comprehensive understanding of South Carolina business processes.
• Collaborate with other Business Analysts to develop comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and provide general assistance during testing activities.
• Participate in regular functional meetings focused on user-reported issues, enhancements, and bug triage to review progress, discuss solutions, and align on priorities.
  
  

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst
• 5 years of experience working with Child Support systems
• 5 years of experience working with financial operations such as receipts, distribution, disbursements, recoupment, and/or reconciliation
• 5 years of experience with workflow design and system enhancement
• 5 years of experience conducting Stakeholder Interviews
• 5 years with SQL Querying
• Bachelor's degree
  
  

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Microsoft Test Manager
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodology
• Preference for a degree in Finance or IT

• BS Degree, Preference given to Finance or IT degree.
