Position Description:
DFA Senior Financial .Net Developer/Architect
This resource will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimizing the central infrastructure, application instances and databases that are required to maintain the Budget System.
HYBRID: The selected candidate must be located-in or willing to relocate to the Little Rock area. This will be on-site work for a minimum of one month. DFA has a partial remote work policy that is available after six months, but will require being located within the Little Rock area.

Overview
DFA has a custom developed Statewide Budget Solution that provides the following plans for the State of Arkansas: Annual Operational Plan, Biennial Plan and Budget Manual.
The system is developed in .Net along with StimulSoft Reporting Software.
This resource will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimizing the central infrastructure, application instances and databases that are required to maintain the Budget System. The scope of services will also include problem resolution, analysis and other support services at the discretion of the Applications Development Manager.
Knowledge of state and federal laws, procurement, budget, human resources, payroll laws and processes, administrative practices and procedures, and methodologies of related business segment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Minimum of six (8) years of each item below:
Maintain and develop packages to extract data elements into constructed data layouts.
Maintain complicated applications supported by Applications Development: Budget System.
Assist state employees with .Net solutions and mentors on best practices
Minimum of six (6) years of SQL Server installation, maintenance, and optimization experience
Good knowledge of MSDTC
Experience with design and maintenance of TDE Encryption
Experience using integration services or SSIS packages to import and export data to/from SQL
Experience developing window services
Experience developing web services
Experience designing and testing disaster recovery plans
Ability to write and review VB.Net code
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience developing detailed technical infrastructure diagrams and specifications
Education requirement of a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other equivalent education.
