Job Title: Legal Assistant

Location: Toms River, New Jersey

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $45000 - $55000

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Job Duties:

• Schedule court appearances
• Telephone communication to confirm client appointments and appearances
• Handle clients criminal and municipal court matters
• Handle ecourts, calendar system and working with electronic discovery downloads.
• Document preparation of routine appearance and adjournment letters
• Check emails on the weekend
  
  

Requirements:

• Direct experience in municipal and criminal law required
• Strong knowledge of criminal and municipal court procedures, terminology, and filing systems
• Proficiency with legal software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent typing, proofreading, and document formatting skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple matters and meet strict deadlines
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
